Who ever hasn't sinned cast the first stone. Everyone has sinned. You are all equal in God's eyes. Even that little lie you told when you were a kid that's as bad in God's eyes as being part of the LGBTQIA. If God really hated us, you would think he wouldn't have sent Jesus to die for our sins. But he did... The people who don't think as such are no better than the Pharisees who are stuck in their ways.

As for "A Necessary evil" it was an evil yes but as for necessary it was practically and it was effective but no it was not necessary. They could have simply invaded main land Japan at the cost of far more lives on both sides which was not a desirable choice but was ultimately still a choice. Plus the US was probably sending a message to Russia anyway.
