The gaming community doesn't seem pleased or helpful towards noobs and relying on the internet to te ach me is way too technical using terminologies and slangs I can't keep up with. Really curiosity about trying it out but feel way too old to be asking around something that supposedly I should have learned back in the day. I feel goofy and not a fan of having to admit I would need a "child first time guide" to get through. Makes it worse that I never had any type of equipment to be familiar with. It is never too late to get into video games and keep playing video games even if they are hard as long as your having fun it doesn't matter. Every community has its ass holes unfortunately but just ignore them. Also does not matter what platform just find games you want to play and use what ever platform i personally enjoy them all I have been gaming since I was 5.

Stay away from nba 2k if you never played. Try apex and call of duty. Apex got a lot of shit kids that talk bs but if you get into the right lobbies with grown people. You’ll be good.

It's never too late. You have to start somewhere. You will learn in time, and there's no shame in being a beginner. Anyone who shames you was once in your position too. If you prefer, start with single-player games to start getting the hang of things. Then when you eventually start playing with other people it will just be a matter of learning terminology. You got this, mate!

If you're enjoying yourself, it doesn't matter if you're any good or not. Just ignore the assholes who have nothing better to do than shit on people who are just trying to have a good time. If you keep it up, you'll get better naturally and you'll figure out the slang in your own time. Plus you might even meet a pro who will help you out.
