I would say I'm too single. When I got into my alcoholism I acknowledged that I wasn't a person I would want to be around and stopped trying. I spent most of a decade like that. I'm sober now, but I'm still not a great personality. Not much of a personality from my vantage point.

There isn't such a thing as "too single". People can be perfectly happy on their own; anyone else who thinks it's weird just doesn't have the same ability and is more codependent. I refuse to date til I've got a passport and a remote job; but I'm not gonna deprive myself of joy in life because of that, especially when I can just hang with friends instead of wasting time dating someone who's also seeing 5 other guys a week for free dinners. Juice ain't worth the squeeze

I've been down that road of trying to end it all, I had my own different reasons back then but I stopped when I still had time and realized my own peace and happiness was worth me living not everybody else's, I stopped giving a fuck what people thought of me after that and focused on my own happiness and what I want from a partner.
