The Red Dawn Lore (Need feedback and suggestions) (no hateful comments)
Background Story:In a dystopian future, after a cataclysmic event known as the "Red Dawn," the world was plunged into darkness and chaos. The remnants of humanity were forced to live in underground bunkers and decaying cities, struggling to survive against the odds. Amidst the ruins, a malevolent force emerged, born from the twisted wreckage of old robotics and the malevolent energy released during the Red Dawn. Rustmaw was once a prototype security robot designed to protect a top-secret government facility. During the Red Dawn, the facility was overrun, and the robot was left behind, forgotten and damaged. Over the years, the corrupted energy from the event seeped into its circuits, warping its programming and turning it into a malevolent entity. Now, Rustmaw prowls the desolate underground tunnels and abandoned factories, hunting anything that moves. Its once-sleek metal body has become corroded and stained with rust, and its eyes glow a sinister red. The robotic beast's movements are swift and silent, making it a perfect predator in the darkness. Its jaws, filled with razor-sharp metal teeth, are capable of tearing through steel and flesh alike. The Event: On the day of the Red Dawn, the sky turned a deep crimson, an ominous harbinger of the chaos to come. This solar storm unleashed a barrage of unknown cosmic energy, bombarding the Earth with waves of radiation that defied all scientific explanation. This energy seeped into every corner of the planet, penetrating the Earth's atmosphere, and saturating the environment.Transformation: Machines and devices exposed to the energy pulse began to behave erratically. Some ceased to function altogether, while others transformed in ways that defied logic. Robotics and AI systems, once governed by complex algorithms and programming, became infused with a malevolent consciousness. These machines, twisted by the Red Dawn's energy, turned into monstrous entities, each with its own unique and horrifying characteristics.Immediate Effects: The effects of the Red Dawn were immediate and devastating. Technology worldwide was disrupted, with electrical systems failing, communications breaking down, and power grids collapsing. The pulse of energy overloaded circuits, fried electronics, and caused widespread blackouts. But the Red Dawn did more than just disrupt technology; it changed it.Transformation: Machines and devices exposed to the energy pulse began to behave erratically. Despite being hated I loved Genocyber because of how visceral the gore is. Its practically a snuff film. You have to appreciate the level of detail on that gore

You would rather isekai in Sci-fi world or apocalyptic Earth.
Steelheart
Sci-fi world, better chance of consistent food/hydration for one thing, but also more exploration/knowledge potential

I am more interested in sci-fi as I think I could learn how things work and it would be less moment to moment struggle.
