Being friends with an ex is weird, but only if it ended with on/off drama. Otherwise, normal friendship can happen. Same with having a bestie of the opposite gender. Trust issues will always be the biggest red flag, because it shows that someone hasn't worked on themselves to overcome them, and/or doesn't feel stable in their relationship, in which case they're probably better off single until they've gotten them sorted out

I feel like baby talk isn't weird. Talking to an older toddler like a baby is weird & often leads to speech issues though.
