Hey guys, Ghost👻 here: Serious poll no. 3; Please give it a read:
So, after the first two polls, I can see WE youth have quite a lot of anger towards the culprits, th ose who do atrocities like rape or sexual assaults, and all we ever care about is that they get the harshest punishment. Tho, it is important, but thats not a long term solution; The main issue is the mentality, we are slowly losing our humility, empathy and compassion; it's not just those who are committing crimes, but we the people are also turned stone hearted. You see, nobody cares about a normal rape nowadays, heck too many don't even acknowledge a marital rape. That's the kind of low we have already fallen. Unless ww change our selves and our mindsets, no matter how many rapist we hang, new will keep appearing. All of you have said, I'm too negative and do not propose solutions, so I'll propose a solution today, bear with me, as I try to decode the real problem first tho, take some sweet pills, coz reality will be bitter... I won't say rapes are anything new and it never happened a few hundred years ago, but murder after a rape is new; we made a law that a victims testimony will be irrefutable, and as a result, those sick bastards just kill the victim after the deed. That's a proof that harsh punishment does more harm than good, yet we are still asking for even harsher laws, just imagine the consequences, those animals will keep killing even more innocents, in even crueler ways, knowing ful well that what they have done will definitely result in capital punishment. Those bastards will destroy all the evidence, that were helping the investigations, just to lengthen the process in hopes that public anger will cool down. Those animals will do much more than just killing. Because they know police/judiciary are under-staffed and unless their victim survives or evidence are found they can simply elude the law. the point is, we don't necessarily need stricter laws, but better implementation, empathic neighborhood for the victim and more policemen and judges. In a country with so much unemployment, it's impossible to be unable to find worthy employees, but government is trying their best for cost-cutting in everything. They are not recruiting new people, or not giving people permanent jobs, just to save a few bucks. This in turn put pressure on already scarce officials and employees, forcing them to overwork, which ultimately results faulty investigations or weak cases. Those animals, use these weak cases for their own benifits and get clean chits on account of not having enough evidence. so, the solution is pretty simple, imo, just fill up the vacancies, when enough people will be in place, they will be forced to work, because government asks for work record, before giving even a single penny, or better yet, employees need work record for increments and promotions. Once the vacancies are filled, those same policemen who usually ignore the work, will be fighting between themselves to solve the cases. Once the vacancies are filled, those same judges will be fighting to solve cases, because who does not want increments and salary hikes? Let's make it their problem to solve cases and give justice, let's make them work for themselves. Because the sad reality is that not every case gets media highlight, we all deserve to live in a country which is safe for everyone and where justice is readily available. Justice should not be dependent on media/public pressure... If you are protesting, sympathetic with the victims or just scared about your/ your close-ones safety, ask for a long term solution, not a short lived one. Please.... ... read more

Although it's a commendable idea, unfortunately, we can only fill up a post vacancy if the government explicitly advertises it. However, in reality, they typically only announce a fraction of the available vacancies, roughly around 10-30%. Despite this limitation, I truly appreciate your thoughtful suggestion and optimism. 🤝 Much appreciation for your thoughts.
