@Peekaboo12 Well parents are supposed to guide and keep their kids safe so there isn't enough context as to why they said to break up. It's better to just stay friends and when you're 18 if you still wanted to date then you can. Much of the argument these days is what parents aren't doing for their children so.. If you're really into a each other, you could make a mutual promise to wait for each other.
