MuteSpine
@PiperAfton I didn't. But I'll respond to retardation any time I find it.
373d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@PiperAfton And you can even change your name- people often do when they get married! As for the word homophobic- it's a word to describe a person. It's no different than calling someone gay or racist. It's just a word to describe someone who dislikes homosexual people- that's it. We're not controlling your free speech by calling you something. I'm fine with homophobes saying whatever they want- as long as I can use my free speech to tell them my opinions. We aren't controlling you. Go ahead and hate us. Tell your stories about how horrible we are. But believe me, we've got some things to say too.

PiperAfton
@MuteSpine you did. You asked for me to define homophobic in the comment that started all of this.

PiperAfton
@MuteSpine THEN WHY DID YOU ASK FOR IT?
373d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@RiskyPatter happens with straight people too unfortunately. People just kind of are horrible, there's always going to be someone in a group of people who's horrible- some worse than others. I'm sorry that your niece had to see that, that really is awful.
375d ago Reply

MuteSpine
Define homophobic. Do you mean anyone who disagrees with you and doesn't have the decency to shut up, thus forgoing any further freedom of speech?
390d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@MuteSpine I mean people who dislike homosexuals because we exist.
390d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@Food4Thought People who think homosexuals shouldn't exist and dislike us for some reason.
389d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@Food4Thought Here's my opinion on what you said- first of all, the whole dancing nakedness thing- please genuinely inform me of when that happened. Notably, straight people have done that too... As for teaching children about sex, the most I've seen is teaching children about sex as in gender. If we do teach young children about sex, as long as we're not graphic or overly descriptive, it's not entirely a horrible thing. Some public schools offer sex education to younger students (although it's mainly just telling kids to never do it at all), and many younger people do have sex- whether willingly or not. Teaching someone how to be safe, or that it's ok to say no, or that they can love whoever they want, isn't inappropriate or unkind. I do think parents of these kids should have a choice in when they learn these things, but kids should know how to be safe. As for infringing on religious rights- there is nothing in any holy scriptures that mentions LGBTQ+ people, either positively or negatively. Many LGBTQ+ people are religious, and some arent- just like everyone else. As for voting on certain matters- everyone gets to vote. Just because they disagree with you doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to vote. That is literally the reason voting exists- so everyone has a voice. As for changing the age to get surgeries for minors- how is that a problem? It's not saying minors need to get surgeries. It's just allowing people who need them for their mental health to be able to have them. And either way, I believe minors need parental consent before they can have any kind of surgery. As for pronouns- what. Why. Would you be annoyed if someone called you the wrong gender? Pronouns gave existed for an incredibly long time. The only things that have changed is that there are more of them now, and you can choose them. And if forcing someone to call you certain pronouns is against free speech, then why isn't forcing people to call you your name against free speech? (Continued)
389d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@Food4Thought One last thing- you said we impact you (homophobes) daily. Well, you impact us (The LGBTQ+community) way worse. Have you ever been scared to tell your parents who you are because they might put you out on the streets? Have you ever been scared that someone might kill you just because of who you love? How many times have you been scared to ask someone out because they might think that you're disgusting for loving them? How many times have you considered killing yourself just because someone you don't even know's opinion?

RiskyPatter
@PiperAfton At a pride parade last year one of the attendees decided to walk down a side street to a service station for snacks with one of his friends and while they were in the parking lot they decided to start dancing and pulling up their dresses to expose themselves, they were biological men with no underwear on, my 5 year old niece was exposed to this and had my brother in law (her father) been there he would have beat the breaks off both of them, they were both arrested and will probably end up on the sex offenders registry as they should be, we'll find out next month when they go to court. Please don't act like these things don't happen because they do and children should not be exposed to any of this
376d ago Reply

RiskyPatter
@PiperAfton And I don't blame the whole community for it, my brother is trans and refuses to go to pride events because of how he was treated at a parade a couple of years ago, they saw his Trump sticker on his car and they belitted him, someone spit on him, he got his window busted out of his car, I support gay rights I don't support violent or nasty people
375d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@Gonnfreaks trans people not having access to surgeries, gay marriage not being legal, discrimination being allowed (specifically for job interviews and stuff where discrimination isn't allowed), some parts of LGBTQ+ still being considered mental ilnesses...
375d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@RiskyPatter we're not telling you to stop believing in your faiths. There are plenty of LGBTQ+ people who are even religious! I don't know what religion you practice, but most holy scriptures don't even mention LGBTQ+ people. Additionally, if phobia is an aversion of something- do you just not disagree with us? Or do you dislike us? Note- this is a genuine question, I never want to be rude in any of my responses, even if I disagree (I'm trying to get better at it).
375d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@RiskyPatter according to the dictionary, the definition is "having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against gay people.". In my opinion, that's a little much- it isn't specific enough, either. My personal (and final) definition of homophobia is: "the act of disliking, showing prejudice against, or purposely harming (physically or otherwise) an individual or group of individuals with sexual or romantic preferences towards the opposite gender, because of their sexual or romantic preferences.". It has to be to a certain extent to truly be considered homophobia, so dislike definitely isn't the right word, but it's the basic idea that I like to go off of.
375d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@RiskyPatter In my opinion, just disliking horrible people that are part of the LGBTQ+ community shouldn't be considered homophobia. It's just disliking bad people. You totally should dislike people who are horrible, just don't ever blame it on a whole community. And I'm glad you support your brother. I hope they're doing well, it sucks that those people were mean to them- and I hope that the jerks had to pay for that window.
375d ago Reply

MuteSpine
@PiperAfton but the community, in general, supports this behavior, as do woke idiots, but I repeat myself. As with Muslims, how many "random bad people" does it take before a community has to take responsibility for being ok with these beliefs. Why are most of you ok with kids at pride parades if this happens at most of them?
375d ago Reply

MuteSpine
@PiperAfton kids should not have access to surgeries. Period. They cannot make decisions properly, they cannot go to war, they are below the age of consent. And my tax money should not pay for any elective surgeries for anyone. Gay marriage is legal in the US. Idc about other countries. Discrimination is not allowed here. If anything, it's the opposite. Feeling like you're the opposite sex to the point where you want to hack off body parts is a mental illness. As is the girl who gouged out her eyes because she felt she should have been born blind.

MuteSpine
@PiperAfton of course liberals need to redefine words. It helps you reach your goal of chaos and gets all eyes on you poor, poor narcissists. Grow tf up, and get over your first world problems. Oh no. Not everyone agrees that I'm clownsexual. That means I'm oppressed. Whaaaah!
375d ago Reply

PiperAfton
@MuteSpine I redefined it so that people who don't like certain homosexual people just because of other actions of theirs aren't considered homophobic. I changed the definition so that LESS people would be considered homophobic, not more. I don't care what you define it as, you have the right to your own opinion, and the right to share it. But you asked for my definition of homophobia. So I gave it to you. I don't need anything changed, I'm just sharing my opinion- like you are.

MuteSpine
@TotalEclipse but that's not a hatred.

@TotalEclipse well, there's "homophobic" and there's the anything that disagrees with us crowd. And homophobic community? Anyone who words it that way is an obvious that. I'm saying that about OP.
368d ago Reply

MuteSpine
@PiperAfton a phobia is a fear. Period. Idc what woke crap has been added. And define prejudice. If my not going along with gays for Palestine or zimzer nonsense is considered prejudice, sign me up.
375d ago Reply

RiskyPatter
@PiperAfton So we don't have the right to our beliefs and faith? I believe homosexuality is a sin that doesn't make me homophobic because a phobia is a fear or aversion of something and that doesn't apply to me not agreeing with them
376d ago Reply

MuteSpine
@PiperAfton and you defined it in your bs way. A phobia is a fear. Period. We are not afraid of you.
